Of naval interest:
a rare pair of Old Sheffield plated candlesticks, (probably cut down from larger candlesticks) commemorating four British Admirals and their naval victories over the French, formed to resemble telescopes with stepped, cylindrical columns, decorated with swirling garlands and oval cartouches below flared, stiff, papyrus leaf capitals, the base decorated in low relief with four shields, emblems of war and crossed Union flags, the shields inscribed with the names and dates of the following Admirals: "Nelson 1 Aug 1798, Jervis 14 Feb 1797, Duncan 11 Oct 1797 and Howe 1 June 1794", mounted on circular wooden bases, circa 1800 - 21.5cm high.
