A late 19th/early 20th century Japanese rose bowl
of three shaped and engraved feet with a wavy rim and hemispherical bowl decorated around the sides with an iris swamp, the clumps of applied irises heightened with polychrome enamel, the ground partly engraved to simulate water ripples and partly peened, the bowl double-skinned and loose, signed with character marks underneath, circa 1900 - 24.5cm dia, 41oz.
