Set with a square-cut sapphire weighing 7.44 carats, in an old European-cut diamond surround, circa 1885, subsequently repolished
Signed by Tiffany & Co., partially obliterated
With certificate CS30153 dated 10/4/96 from the American Gemological Laboratories stating that the sapphire would be classified as Kashmir, with no gemological evidence of heat induced appearance modification present
PROVENANCE:
This ring once belonged to Fannie Josephine Chaffee Grant, Jr. who was married to the son of Ulysses S. Grant.
