Seated in vajrasana on a lotus, placed on an elaborate throne, the front with a pair of lions, the sides composed of elephants supporting lions and vyalakas with riders, the last supporting the horizontal throne beams, surmounted by makaras with large curling tails, the apex with Garuda in the centre holding a pair of deified nagas, Buddha has his right hand in bhumisparsamudra, the left resting on his lap, gold painted body, gold and red patchwork garment, halo behind, flanked by Maudgalyayana and Sariputra
