Also known as The Sisters, this group is thought to represent one of the most famous dancing pairs of the 1920s, the Dolly Sisters. The popular phenomenon of duos such as the Rowe Sisters or the Dodge Twins was ultimately superceded by chorus lines during the second half of the decade. Nevertheless, so enduring was the fame of the Dolly Sisters that their story was made into a film starring Betty Grable and June Haver in 1946 (Twentieth Century Fox).
