Lot Essay

In 1903 Amalric Walter signed a contract with MM Daum to develop pâte de verre. In 1904 Antonin Daum brought back from Greece some Tanagra sculptures to be imitated, from which Amalric Walter designed a series of animal models together with Henry Bergé, also employed by Daum (see following lots)
