A large Napoleon III ormolu and bronze sculptural fender
Circa 1870
Of three sections, the left side with a seated female figure holding a scythe with corn and a spade at her side, emblematical of Agriculture, the right side with a male figure, with a boat tiller and a coin bag, emblematical of Transport, each on a shaped scrolled base with stepped plinth and gadrooned edge, with a foliate mount below, the central section with scrolled centre and foliate mount
