Of oval tapering form, the cover with ball knop and foliate-carved edge, the body carved in relief with a scene of Zeus disguised as a swan in embrace with Leda, three putti looking on, on a foliate-carved foot, the underside of the cover with two paper labels with ink inscription LÉDA (MYTH) and 2642
7¼ in. (18.5 cm.) high
