The anthemion-carved domed cover surmounted by Diana with hound jumping up at her side, the oval body profusely carved with a woodland scene depicting scantily-clad nymphs hunting with hounds, bow and arrows and spears, arriving at a ridge below which Leda and the swan and attendant naked nymphs hide and shelter a stag, the scrolled handle surmounted by a bust of Diana, on latticed base carved with rosettes, and on four open-mouthed lion-mask feet
