In the Ottoman Style, Circa 1880
The desk with a rectangular top, inset with a gilt-tooled tan-coloured leather writing surface, with a pull-out slide to each side fitted with a gilt-tooled leather writing surface, above an arched kneehole and flanked to each side by a pair of drawers, the reverse with apparent drawers, on baluster turned feet and stepped plinths; the tub chair with a curved padded back, with padded arm rests, above pierced sides and back, with a leather-upholstered seat, on turned legs joined by a stretcher
