The serpentine-shaped hinged top, fitted with a bevelled glazed panel, the lock-plate stamped CHUBB'S PATENT/HIS MAJESTY/1502654/28 QUEEN VICTORIA STREET/LONDON, above four glazed sides, the interior with a velvet-lined base, on square shaped scrolled legs, each headed by a foliate-cast clasp, on scroll sabots
