A Staffordshire inscribed solid blue jasper quatrefoil bullet-shaped teapot and cover
Circa 1780
With a double scroll loop handle and curved spout, the body moulded with four quatrefoil C-scroll cartouches with bat's-wing ornament at the intersections, on a ground of waved lines enclosing protuberances, the cover with wheatsheaf finial, the base incised The first mould(ed) Teapot made in the Potteries (restoration to cover, finial restuck, two minute chips to interior flange of teapot)
