An unusual patchwork quilt composed of large squares and oblongs of light brown coloured silk brocaded in red, yellow and ivory silks with stripes, plain mushroom wool, blue and green camlet and green and black shot camlet, reversing to mushroom coloured cotton quilted with a central stylised floral roundel, bordered with frames containing stylised flowers, foliage and spirals, two sides worked with "HG 1818"--96 x 90in. (240 x 225cm.), the silk dating from the 1770s, possibly Welsh, some wear
