Maker's mark of Daniel Smith & Robert Sharp, London, 1770; the stand 1768, maker's mark worn
Long necked baluster, on gadrooned short foot, the lower body chased with alternate concave and convex flutes, with chased wavy band above, repeated on the shoulder, engraved with crest and coronet, with partly fluted squat spout, leaf capped multi-scroll handle, the hinged, partly fluted, molded domed cover topped by fluted acorn finial--10in. (26.7cm.) high; the circular frame on three S-scroll supports on shell feet, with rococo openwork apron between--5in. (12.7cm.) diam., gross weight 37oz. (2)
