A DANISH FOUR-PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE ON TWO HANDLED TRAY

Cosmos pattern, comprising teapot, slightly baluster coffee pot, sugar bowl and cream jug, each with subtle hammered finish, the lower body chased with vertical fronds, the pots with partly reeded carved wood and silver handles, with upper trifurcated scroll and beaded join, with high scroll spout, the detachable slightly raised cover with fluted calyx to the partly fluted ball finial, the coffee pot--11in. (27.4 cm.) high, the oval tray with partly incised rim, with partly reeded silver and wood loop handles, the rim incised at intervals, length over handles--23in. (59.7cm.); the set gross weight 67oz.; the tray--83oz.; total gross weight--150oz. (5)
