LATE 19TH CENTURY, BY ESCALIER DE CRISTAL

The firm of Escalier de Cristal run by Mme. Desarnaud and Mme. Charpentier, were best known for their works in crystal and bronze but were also known to produce fine reproductions in the Louis XV and Louis XVI styles. (See D. Ledoux-Lebard, Le Mobilier Franais du XIXe Sicle, 1984, pp. 190-192)
