An oak press cupboard, Lake District, late 17th century
the upper section with gadrooned cornice and frieze carved with grotesque serpentine like creatures and trailing vine, flanking initials and date H.T.M. 77, with drop acorn finials to each end, above a stylised foliate-carved panel flanked by similarly carved doors, the lower section with rosette and lozenge frieze and a pair of triple panel doors, on channelled stile feet, the sides with four panels and channelled mouldings -- 58in. (147cm.) wide, 75½in. (192cm.) high, 18½in. (47cm.) deep
