These decagonal fluted dishes are a typical form of the Rgence period, which began with the death of Louis XIV in 1715 and continued until the death of the Regent, Philippe of Orlans, in 1723.
Several similar decagonal fluted dishes are in the Catherine D. Wentworth collection, the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
