The waved, molded, rectangular liver marble top above a serpentine-fronted hinged fall-front decorated with courtly chinoiserie figures boating, walking and resting in an extensive island landscape with two central open verandhas, enclosing a fitted tulipwood-lined interior with black leather-lined writing surface, six arc-en-arbalette fronted drawers with amaranth crossbanding and three shelves, the simulated nashiji border decorated with floral sprigs, above two further doors enclosing a plain interior with a secret drawer and one shelf, the angles headed by scrolled acanthus and foliate-trailed c-Scroll mounts with channelled chutes, the sides with further chinoiserie lacquer panels, above a waved shaped apron and on cabriole legs with foliate c-scroll ormolu sabots, the apron mount associated, the interior of the base formerly with a coffre-fort
