A SUPERB REGENCY SUITE OF EMERALD AND DIAMOND JEWELRY
The pendant necklace, centering upon a mofified circular-cut emerald within a cirular-cut emerald, old mine-cut diamond and gold bead and wirework frame, suspending a smaller similar pendant set with a pear-shaped emerald, from a cut-cornered rectangular-cut emerald, flanked on each side by two graduated emeralds of similar-cut, alternating with old mine-cut diamond and circular and pear-shaped emerald links, joined to a gold bead and wirework link chain enhanced by circular-cut emeralds and old mine-cut diamonds, mounted in 14K gold (with two additional lengtheners), in a fitted case signed London & Ryder, 17 New Bond St., London, circa 1830--15 ins. long; and a pair of ear pendants en suite
With certificate CS 32177 from the American Gemological Laboratories stating that the emeralds are of Colombian origin. It is the opinion of the Laboratory that this material exhibits evidence of faint to moderate clarity enhancement (Oil Type Treatment). (4)
