In the James I style, tapering cylindrical with spreading base, the lower and upper body chased with band of strapwork, patera and pomegranate at intervals framing a mid-band with a reserve with recumbent sea monsters and winged putti in-between, the front engraved with the coat-of-arms of the city of Norwich on a shield, the tubular scroll handle with cast thumbpiece of winged putto and engraved with scalework, the domed cover with seamonsters and winged putti at intervals centering the Royal arms in a lozenge, marked near rims, the bases stamped ROSSI NORWICH
