(Very minor spotting and dampstaining.) Original yellow printed wrappers (plate wrapper soiled).
FIRST EDITION. "A classic summary of dermatological literature of the period" (Garrison-Morton). Rayer described conditions ignored by other authors, including warts, skin cancer and glanders. He was the first to describe adenoma sebaceum and xanthoma multiplex, and gave definitive clinical descriptions of ecthyma, cheilitis exfoliativa and lingua negra.
