The circular enamelled dial within a foliate-cast rim supported beneath a dentilled cornice cast with foliate swags and with Ionic columnar supports, the base cast with a musical trophy and fruited swags on a plinth with short bracket feet cast with flowerheads, with bi-metallic pendulum and calibrated plaque below inscribed Degrs du Cercle
