This print is probably the right panel of a diptych. The left panel is a portrait of Ichimura Uzaemon IX as Soga no Juro. An impression of the left panel also inscribed with Ichimura Uzaemon's name was sold in these Rooms, Important Japanese Prints from the Collection of the Late Sidney A. Tannenbaun, 20 March, 1985, lot 143.
