marked for 11th Artel, Moscow, 1908-1917
Oblong, on slightly spreading base with four feet, the slightly tapering body with varicolor floral and foliate sprays embellished with blue circular and geometric motifs on gilt ground, each end with a shaped swing handle with flowerhead and dot motifs on pale blue ground, the hinged cover with en-plein plaque of 'The Unveiling of the Bride' after Konstantin Makovskii, within green twisted stem and flowerhead border, flanked by stylized floral frieze on gilt ground, the shaped rim with geometric motifs, with swing catch en-suite with the handles, the interior of the cover with a translucent blue enamel plaque over wavy guilloch ground, marked under base
