A silver-gilt cloisonn enamel two-piece Tea-set
marked with the Cyrillic initials of Fedor Rckert, overstruck with the mark of P. Ovchinnikov with Imperial warrant, Moscow, 1896-1908
Ovoid, comprising teapot and milk jug, each enamelled with varicolor red, blue, yellow and green floral scrolls on white ground reserves within turquoise borders decorated with flowers, strapwork and foliate scrolls, the spouts, hinged cover and partly enamelled shaped handles with similar decoration, each with convex collar of shaded enamel on turquoise ground with stylised acanthus decoration, the pine-cone finial with similar enamelling, each piece engraved on the base with interlaced inscription 'AS Moscou 1900', the teapot with bone-mounted handle and finial, marked under bases and flange of cover
