A silver-gilt cloisonn enamel two-handled Tazza
marked O. Kurliukov, Moscow, 1896-1908
Shaped oval, richly enamelled overall with floral and foliate scrolls, on circular foot, the outer border with a chevron pattern of shaded pink and blue within a turquoise rim, the raised central section with turquoise ground lobed reserves and white borders, the bowl with similar turquoise ground spiraling lobes, two incorporating a swan, the centre with a blue ground quatrefoil with ears of wheat emanating from a central yellow rosette, with varicolor scalework detail in the angles the broad flattened white ground rim with raised lozenges in shades of green at intervals around the edge of the bowl, and with an outer graduated border of red, green, purple and blue ground boteh reserves, with a shaded enamel scalework scallop detail at each side and pierced vari-color scroll handle at either end, marked under dish and base
