SINATRA PHOTOGRAPH OF MUHAMMAD ALI
An original photograph taken by legendary entertainer Frank Sinatra of the Muhammad Ali vs. Joe Frazier I fight. In 1971 Life magazine commissioned Sinatra to photograph the "Fight of the Century" at Madison Square Garden March 8th, 1971. A week and a half later Life magazine published some of Sinatra's photos in their March 18 issue. This particular photograph was not featured, it was instead given to Sinatra's friend Jilly Rizzo. Rizzo then put the photograph on display at his infamous restaurant Jilly's. It has been in possession of the last owner of Jilly's since. The photograph is an original print and is matted on white board. A stamped notation on the lower left corner reads Photo by Frank Sinatra. Accompanied by a color copy of Sinatra taking the photos, a reproduction Life magazine cover and a letter from the owner. This photograph is being sold without reproduction rights. 11 x 14 in.
