Rectangular casket, the sides, lid and base inset with partly domed rectangular panels of sand-coloured moss-agate framed by a gold cagework elaborately chased and engraved with foliage and reeded c-scrolls, plain gold pushpiece, the gold-lined interior of the base fitted with a pair of bright-cut glass bottles with chased shell-shaped gold stoppers, a mirror in a hinged gold case for patches chased and repoussé with a young musician seated in an architectural landscape and playing the bagpipe, a gilt ear-spoon, four steel quill-sharpener with interchangeable gold handle, the interior of the lid velvet-lined and set with a mirror
