Circa 1880, probably Hanau
Each standing figure on a tapering cylindrical pedestal repoussé and chased with foliage within pear-shaped panels, the figures formed as a man and woman in 16th century dress, possibly representing Franois I and his wife Diane de Poitiers, each holding a flower, with detachable head, marked on bases
