cover AC-AH strip of six (severed between AF and AG), deep full blue shade, margins nearly all round (toched or clipped at places), on entire letter from Stewartstown to Pennsylvania dated 7 March 1841, very neatly cancelled by strikes of the black Maltese Cross and tied by red oval "PAID SHIP LETTER/LONDON" and red circular "NEW-YORK/SHIP" datestamps; AD with tear at base, AE crossed by light fold but not detracting from the wonderful appearance of this striking and rare overseas usage.
