The single fusee movement with brass backplate engraved allover with scrolling foliage and inscribed Samuel Watson, with brass dial and silvered chapter-ring, enclosed by a glazed door applied with four white-metal repoussé panels cast with foliage and scrolls, the rectangular moulded cornice surmounted by a white-metal cushion pediment, pierced and profusely chased with acanthus scrolls and foliage and centred by a coat-of-arms worked with three fleur-de-lys within a shield-shaped cartouche surmounted by a helmet, with scroll loop handle, on moulded rectangular base and bun feet, the case basically 17th Century, the movement later and adapted
