Maker's mark of Joseph Steward II, 1758
Pear-shaped, on shaped circular open-work foot cast and chased with fruiting vine and scrolls, the body boldly chased with spiralling bands of imbricated pattern alternating with applied sprays of flowers and foliage and with two cartouche engraved with a crest to one side and a coat-of-arms to the other, the short partly fluted spout applied with a chased spray of berried laurel, the shaped rim with beaded border, the domed cover with cast flowerhead and foliate finial, fruitwood scroll handle
