Celtic won their fifth-ever and first of their six-in-a-row Championships in season 1904-05 on goal difference with 41 points, Rangers being runners-up.

Jimmy Quinn was born in Croy, Dunbartonshire on 8th July 1878 and joined Celtic in December 1900 from Smithstone Albion. He won his first of six League Championship medals in season 1904-05 and was also a Scottish Cup winner with Celtic on five occasions. Between 1905 and 1912 he played eleven times for Scotland at full International level and also made eight appearances for the Scottish League. Whilst with Celtic he made 273 League appearances scoring 187 goals and 58 Scottish Cup appearances scoring 29 goals
