Charles Perry joined West Bromwich Albion in June 1884 from West Bromwich Strollers. He remained with the club throughout his playing career before retiring through injury in May 1896 and thereafter served as a Director of the club from 1898 to 1902. As a centre-half he helped the club to two F.A.Cup final wins in 1888 and 1892 and was also a runner-up in the same competition in 1886 and 1887. Between 1890 and 1893 he appeared for England at full International level on three occasions.
