The above shirt was gained by Newton as a swap with either Harvey or Clements after one of the two International appearances Newton made for England against Northern Ireland in 1969 or 1970. The first match played on 3rd May 1969 at Windsor Park, Belfast ended in a 3-1 win for England. The second match played at Wembley on 21st April 1970 also ended in a 3-1 win for England.
