The above contract relates to James Fay who joined Oldham in 1907 and was later transferred to Bolton Wanderers in 1911. He made 136 appearances for Bolton Wanderers and was the first full-time secretary of the Players Union from 1922 to 1952 and was also Chairman of the Players Union from 1922 to 1929.
