A poultry seller on a quay

The attribution has been kindly suggested by Fred Meyer of the Rijksbureau of Kunsthistorische Documentatie on the basis of a photograph. He compares it with the picture sold at Sotheby's New York, 23 March 1982, lot 10.
Little is known about the artist, who was probably active in Amsterdam circa 1630/1640. He is known to have painted portraits and genre scenes.
