A lacquered, tortoise shell, silver and portrait miniature snuff box
Apparently unmarked, only struck with French decharge mark, circa 1780
Of oval form, the sides, base and cover lacquered with lines and partly with floral motifs angainst gilt ground, the shaped mounts engraved into foliage, the cover centered by an oval-shaped portrait miniature depicting a dog seated on a bench
