The dish Wanli, the plates Qianlong
The dish painted with a large star-shaped panel enclosing two birds among flowering plants, reserved on a wave- and keyfret-pattern ground, the sides moulded with radiating panels of flowering peach and symbols, between jewels (rim crack, fritted rim), 36.8 cm. diam; and three soup-plates painted with a central flower-spray, below an elaborately shaped border (small rim chips), 23 cm. diam.
