A blanc-de-Chine figure of Guanyin and of a Luohan
18th Century, incised pu-chi yu-ren mark
The Guanyin standing in richly layered robes on a cloud-scroll platform base, holding a scroll in her right hand, the knotted high chignon set off against a small tiara, adorned with jewelled necklace, smiling expression (some restorations), 37 cm. high; and a figure of a Luohan seated with crossed-legs and raised right knee, his hands envelopped in the robe, chest partly exposed, wearing a long beaded necklace, tightly curled facial hairs, bald head, 23.5 cm. high (2)
