A pair of Japanese Imari chrysanthemum-shaped bowls
18th Century
The moulded exterior painted in iron-red and gilt on underglaze-blue with quatrefoil panels enclosing dragons on a shaped blue ground enriched with chrysanthemum-heads and gilt foliage, between ho-o birds, the interior with three flower sprays centred by a smaller one (small rim frits)
