An Annamese iron-brown glazed pear-shaped vase, Yu hu chun
14th/15th Century
Painted in iron-brown under a crackled cream glaze, with a band of scrolling lotus and hibiscus, and fan-shaped panels of stylised lotus on a cross-hatched ground with a row of tall pointed leaves on the slightly flaring neck, the foot steeply cut and the base with brown wash (some flaking to the glaze, some restoration)
