Study of mattresses through a window from a 'Robertsons Layout Pad'

Spencer visited China in 1956 and many of the 'layout pad' subjects are Chinese. One of the study sheets includes two drawings which are studies for two of the 'Scrapbook drawings', Combing hair, Stanley and Patricia which dates from May 1944 is taken from Volume III, p.2; see C.
