Schooner against a dark Sky

Lucy Wertheim was taken to see Wallis at St. Ives in around 1930. She later recalled: 'He was thrilled at three people calling on him ... He pressed a great armful of paintings on to me. I liked him, and certainly didn't find him difficult'.
