A First World War Shell Carrier, dated 1918, belonging to Laurence Stephen Lowry, R.A. (1887-1976)

This container belonged to L.S. Lowry, whose address at 117 Station Road, Pendlebury, and where he lived between 1905 and 1948, is typed on two labels, and it is believed that he used it to store artists' materials.
