Edward Wyatt (1757-1833) was employed as a carver at Hackwood in 1810-13 when the house was being altered under the direction of his second cousin Lewis Wyatt. His work at the house was intended to harmonise with its late 17th Century decoration. A quantity of carving was removed by Lord Bolton when he sold the house in 1935.
