The oval plate in a crossed-palm frame carved with flowerheads, foliage and entwined with ribbons, the cresting with an acanthus spray entwined with confronting C-scrolls, the apron with crossed branches and confronting C-scrolls, the reverse with a trade label of 'C E. CLIFFORD, PICTURE RESTORER, ...30, PICADILLY, LONDON, W. ...' and with further printed paper label for 'G. TROLLOPE & SONS', regilt, the plate probably later
