The engraved ivory 18th Century, the table 19th Century
The rounded rectangular top with geometrically inlaid rectangular panels of pen-engraved scrolling entwined foliage and flowers, vine engraved moulded border with ivory and rosewood inlaid lines on an octagonal spreading and moulded support with further foliate engraved ivory bands on a concave-sided quadripartite base with ribbon-tied stylised palmettes and on channelled moulded scrolling feet with ivory paterae and on castors, the top of the pedestal with remains of Army and Navy despository label and stamped 'MRS MILNE / 24' the underside of top with later backboard, and the underframe replaced, restorations
