Finely woven with a bird perched on a blossoming magnolia branch, entwined with branches with budding roses, two bees hovering nearby, all in delicate shades of green, blue, pink and grey on a golden cream-beige ground, two collector seals in the top left and bottom right corner Da Ji and Gong Qin Qang Zhang

Lot Essay

The seals indicate that the present lot was formerly in the collection of Prince Gong (Chang Ning) (1657 - 1703), son of the Emperor Shunzi and brother of the Emperor Kangxi.
